GRACE

It is understood by most to be a spontaneous gift from God to people "generous, free and totally unexpected and undeserved"[– that takes the form of divine favor, love, clemency, and mercy.

SIMPLY PUT: THE UNMERITED FAVOR OF GOD TO HIS PEOPLE.

In the Old Testament, grace almost always means FAVOR

in the New Testament, it can mean acceptance, benefit, favor, gift, pleasure, mercy, love, and clemency).

For most passages of scripture, GRACE means favor, or unmerited favor.. The passages below are just a sampling of where the word Grace is used. Substitute favor in place of grace and you may come away with a fresh outlook on the word grace. Then try some of the other meanings listed above.
